US Trip: Buhari Threatens To Dismiss Aides

As President Muhammadu Buhari focuses on getting the best from his visit to the United States, the no-nonsense man has warned close aides not to smuggle anyone into his meetings with US officials.
According to Sahara Reporters, the president gave the warning today, July 20, 2015, during a breakfast meeting in Washington DC.
Buhari was said to have threatened to fire with immediate effect any of his aides who flouts the instruction.
He emphasized his meeting is not with Nigerian businessmen or politicians but US officials and Nigerians in the Diaspora.

For anyone in Nigeria to gain easy access to the president, the report states that Buhari had directed the Department of State Protocol in Abuja to open a desk at the Aso Rock Villa.
This is to also stop corrupt officials or middlemen profiting from selling access to the Presidency.
A source at the meeting further disclosed  that some business men and politicians were seen around Buhari’s delegation seeking opportunity to meet with the president.
